Having good discussion on OppoTalk for once.
and someone mentioned all caps. So I made a meme

There is no end to what can be done with that meme and still make me laugh.
I would also add that any ad that includes the cost of mods, or uses the word ‘invested’ anywhere, is also a huge red flag.

Did they spell asterisks with an “x” ironically?

I guess by they I mean you :X

“Simple” repairs that haven’t been done.
Throws a check engine light. Random cyl misfire, probably needs plugs.
Yeah, sure. “Probably”.

invested means “flushed”

“Highway Miles” is the one that gets me.
If you’re selling a 3 year old commuter car that was only ever used for 90 miles of highway driving a day, I sort of get it. But don’t act like your 13 year old Camry with 300,000 miles was only ever driven on the highway.
Not really a red flag, just a pet peeve.

It’s finals week and I was on the phone at work. My mind was on other stuff.
Also, this guy:

I’m ok with daily for a verb.

this has me slightly concerned, as I’m due to be listing my vx for sale and in the draft have put that I daily drive it, is that really likely to be a red flag? like you I’ve never seen it as a red flag but if others are it could put off a sale :/

If you say “it’s my daily driver,” or “it’s my daily,” or “It’s my daily while I finish my project,” that’s one thing.
If you say, “I daily it, [bruh]” then I feel like I’m dealing with someone not mature enough to drive a car.
(note - the bruh is assumed because that’s how I perceive people who use daily as a verb)

You’re fine. If you had said:
I daily this car.
Then Steve wouldn’t even consider buy this car.
If you want Steve to buy your care you’ll need to say it like:
I daily drive this car.

Drives grate [sic]
Breaks need work [sic]
AC just needs charged
Just needs a little TLC
Runs great but will need to be towed
No title; will trade for running car but must have clean title
I could go on...

Title problems are my biggest red flag. If the car really belongs to the seller, then the seller should have little-to-no trouble getting and having a title available for the buyer.

Bring the OBDII and offer ¼ of the price!

This is the correct definition when it comes to anything car-related!

Title issues are a non-starter - black flag, even. If you can’t prove to me you own the f*cking car, I’m sure as hell not buying it from you.

woo I’m fine then as I would always opt for the latter
